Aceclofenac & Thiocolchicoside Tablets are combination of muscle relaxant & analgesic agents that are prescribed for providing relief from pain & inflammation caused by arthritis & ankylosing spondylitis. They are known to have excellent activity against both isoforms of COX enzymes and work by blocking synthesis of prostaglandins that are responsible for causing pain. These tablets are considered to exert their action quickly with 25% of bioavailability & 5-6 hours of elimination half life. They are competitive GABA receptor antagonists with powerful convulsant activity. Aceclofenac & Thiocolchicoside Tablets belong to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory class of drugs and have ability to reduce swelling as well.
