Fexofenadine+Monte Tablets are anti-allergic formulations that are indicated for treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms and for preventing chronic idiopathic urticaria. They belong to second generation antihistamine class of drugs that are not known to cause sedation. These tablets show bioavailability range of 30 to 41% with protein binding ability of 60-70%. They are also leukotriene receptor antagonist that gets metabolized in liver with help of CYP2C8 & CYP3A4. Fexofenadine+Monte Tablets exert their preventive effects by blocking activation of H1 receptor by inhibiting histamine activity. They also show ability to maintain asthma symptoms.
