Ceftazidime Tazobactum Injection
Gudhit-T Injection is combination of two active compounds that are indicated for treatment of various bacterial infections including meningitis, pneumonia, sepsis, and vibrio infection. It has been formulated using ceftazidime which is third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic and tazobactam which is beta-lactamase inhibitor. This injection is said to exert its curative effects by inhibiting synthesis of peptidoglycan layer of bacteria resulting in their death. It is administered via intravenous or intramuscular route showing bioavailability of about 91% with elimination half life of about 1.6 to 2 hours. Gudhit-T Injection is less vulnerable to microbial resistance and gets excreted mainly from kidney.
